Well...More snow today.

At least we're only supposed to get up to 2" this time. :)

Troop #2007 Father-Daughter Ball

Here are some pics from our American Heritage Girls (http://www.ahgonline.org/) Troop's second annual "Father Daughter Ball". This year's theme was Medieval Lords and Ladies. The Ball was the end cap to the "Daughter of the King" merit badge the girls had been working on.

Wind and Snow

Brian made it withing about 100 yards of the house, and got caught in a huge drift in the middle of the road at 7:20 or so. He was driving "Tank" (Toyota FJ cruiser-this car ROCKS in a major way--the most awesome car we've ever driven). He had to shovel a few feet, then drive the car a few feet before the snow drifted back...over and over. He finally made it into the driveway about 10pm.

Lots-o'-snow

In reference to the big snow storm...

Just a little bit of an update from here in VA.

Came down all day yesterday. All day today so far, too. We've gotten over 12 inches, I think. Visibility is about 150 yards.

Everything's closed down. But we still have electricity.

What's nice is that, even if the electricity goes out, we have our wood stove (which is what we use for heat anyway), and all the snow we could care to melt for water. We're stocked up on food (we always keep an emergency supply anyway), and our house is well insulated. :) So, we're taking a mini-vacation, which is very nice.
